Lowrance 522C Value

I'm thinking about upgrading to a newer unit and wonder what they are worth? I bought it 2 years ago when they were clearancing them. I updated it last year because of shallow water issues and has always worked great since. I know others have had problems with theirs but so far so good. Also are the new unit that much better?

I sold my 520c last yr on HSO-Classifieds and got $500. In my opinion that was a great price, I wasn't expecting that. I would check the going rate on HSO-Classifieds right now. I would say if you can $35-400 take it.

I have seen them at $300. If you get $350-400 consider yourself lucky.

I only paid $450 new for it and like I said works great. They were alot more before that new ones came out. Are the new ones that much better? Or should I wait until newer models come out? It's something to ponder before the open water is here.
