Winter kill

Recommended Posts

I fish a small pond about 3 or 4 acres and I'm afraid of a severe winter kill. I haven't fished it since late December, but I went out today and after cleaning out the holes I noticed the water was "milky". Usually this time of year I can see my lure about 10ft down, but today it was less than a foot. Is this a sign of winter kill? I also only marked one fish which is very unusual.
