blank slate

Recommended Posts

I have a blank slate of a garage to organize over spring break. What would you do? I am thinking that I want a 4x8 foot over head storage rack put in above the work bench area. I am also considering 2 roller cabinets that fit under the work bench. Eventually I would love to put in a flooring system but the bride has other idea about the floor in the garage. What would you do? I don't do car repair, but I am not an anti fix it kind of guy either.....

welp, went to sears to look at work benches and cabinets and stuff for the garage. Walked out of there with a great idea of what I wanted. Now I had to convince Da' bride. I get home and we go down to her office (ominous music) and I started showing her what I would like to put in the garage. Now while at sears, I waited for the third salesman to ask me if I needed help before I started asking questions. He answered all of my questions, quoted me the prices and I was happy with my experience at Sears.

Well that all changed once we got on their HSOforum. Seems that they had a sale going on, online. The parts and pieces of the work bench I was ready to order from the store was all bundled up into a set already AND it was 15% off online. I know, oooooooh, 15%, but when you are talking about work benches, storage and backlights, it adds up quick.

We ordered it online last night, saved us over 150 bucks. I will be picking it up from the exact same store I was standing in, but saving a lot of money......

I will take pictures of the ordeal as we start this weekend cleaning out the garage and getting stuff set up.

Cool! Can't wait to see pictures! I know my work bench area is going to get revamped. Gotta reinforce a bunch of stuff on the work bench so it can hold over 600lbs on one end. For cabinets I put up some old ones from a kitchen remodel I got for free! Gonna install lights under the cabinets so I can work on my rods, and power up my bait station.

Cant wait to see your set up. maybe it will give me some ideas
