Canadian Crawlers

I work at Gander Mountain and spend a lot of my waking hours in the bait store. I was speaking with my live bait supplier today about the rules and requirments for Canadian crawlers, and he asked me to post a note on exactly what is required.
If you are purchasing a flat or bringing your own crawlers you have picked, they must have been washed and placed in paper worm bedding for a minimum of 15 days. After 15 days the bedding must be replaced with new bedding to insure that there isn't any dirt (or worm [PoorWordUsage]!)in the bedding. My supplier purchases his crawlers from Canada, but still goes through this process. I have heard rumors that a letter must accompany the flats, but that isn't true. My supplier called customs, and they had never heard of any such regulation.
Any questions, post them and I will try to get an answer.
