Surface interference Humminbird Ice-55

In one fell swoop "Bingo" surface clutter and interference gone.

Not in shallow water on wide beam or narrow. You can tune it out better on narrow but if it doesnt pick up the small jig you will get clutter when the gains are pushed beyond 38+

I am very aware of the adjustments and features on the birds and have played around with all the settings and fine tunning it. That surface clutter is something that you are not going to be able to get rid of at this point depending on the situation. I have come to a conclusion that this is normal for all the bird units.

My 45 I guess has this too. I assumed it was normal and it doesn't affect my fish at all. I assumed with this ice, air bubbles, and everything else at the top of the water/below the ice, it was pretty unavoidable. I don't ever use my flasher in 5-6ft of water so I guess I haven't noticed it to be a problem yet.
