I know this isn't in the cards for you but my advice on fishing mille lacs is drive a couple more hours to LOTW.

I agree Mille lacs is mostly miss in the winter, but LOTW being a couple more hours!? lets be real here. From the cities Mille lacs is barely a dent in the journey.

I'm heading to Mille Lacs tomorrow...don't expect to catch much, hoping for some perch. Haven't had much luck on Mille lacs since I was a kid. Not sure if it's because the ice fishing was that much better then, or if my dad was just a that much better of a fisherman.

So first of all, I LOVE smartphone... web from an ice shack on milled lacs!

Fishing has been typical from others reports (one small eye and some slow perch action) but still lots of fun!

Tonight's our last night, got any suggestions for any kind of night fishing? We didn't get a single bite after 6PM yesterday. Also any suggestions on what to put on a line for a shot at an eel pout?

Thanks again, you all have helped us ice some fish this weekend!

i would use a minnow a foot off the bottem on them rattle reels. and relax for the night. a walley or pout would love that presentation. now in the am before it gets light out would be another chance at a walley rush. so if you are up keep the rattle wheels down and keep a jig and minnow head handy also. glad you guys are haveing a good time, that's the important part. good luck.
