chevy brakes

Billy_Burbout

Question

posted this on auto forum but no response. 2003 chevy 2500hd. this afternoon when i went to town every time i shut my truck off then turned it back on the "ABS" and "service brake system" warning lights came on and the dash started dinging. happened twice. on the way home the lights stayed lit on the dash and when i got to the gravel road that was ice i slamd the brakes on and they locked right up and didnt make that noise when the abs is working. put it in the garage, shut it off, then started it up again and sure enough the lights were not on. shut it off, turned back on and still the lights stayed off. [PoorWordUsage]. anybody here have this happen to them?? any ideas?? thanks

Billy,

I have a 02 1500 that had the same problem. I took mine into the dealer and there was a recall on the ABS sensor. Free fix. Try doing a Google search on Chevy recalls. Hope this helps.

Jeff
