Yet another generator question ???

We purchased a cheap, off-brand generator 4-5 years ago to use for our wheelhouse. It has worked OK until this season. Now, while running the generator for the lights in the fishhouse, the lights constantly dim, get bright, dim, get bright, etc. The motor of the generator sounds like it is running smooth and it doesn't sound like it is bogging down at all.

Any ideas/suggestions what would cause the lights to be so inconsistent and keep dimming in the house. I usually am not running anything else other than the lights....HELP PLEASE!!

If the engine is running at the correct RPM and not slowing down, your problem is in the generator and there is nothing you can do other than take it to a motor shop and have them check out the generator.
