Humminbird 385ci

I'm looking at replacing my old bird fishfinder with this combo unit, about the same physical size and screen size for an on top of dash application. I'll move the older unit up front by the bowmount. Will I not be happy with the smaller screen conpared to the larger more expensive models? Does anyone use this unit, any thoughts would be appreciated.

I looked at that model when I was shopping for a fishfinder, and went with a 788ci. I stood about six or eight feet away in the store and looked at both, and I decided that I wanted the bigger screen. You probably know this already, but the prices on the standard models have come down a bit now that Humminbird has released the HD versions. I don't know what the difference is. Maybe more pixels and/ or brighter screens?

Now, I'm making up a pack to use it as my winter rig as well, some of the other members here have done this. I'll use it in my truck to find spots (I used to have it rigged up in there just like in the boat.) and then take it out to fish or if I'm in a walking-only situation.
