Handgun Question

Recommended Posts

Unfortunately the Walther 9 fit my needs perfectly........not the pocket book so much though......and that combination along with Hollow points will do just fine for personal protection/home invasion. I Wanted a 40 but didn't find one I liked or could conceal very well. Those Germans make one ell of a gun and very accurate as far as 9MM's go!

A good friend of mine was looking at purchasing a protection/ plinking handgun recently, and I told him that, if he did his job as a shooter, 9mm would do its job as a round/ bullet. And if he didn't, it really didn't matter how big a hunk of metal he was throwing...

Not to mention incredibly uncomfortable, at least in my hands shocked.

Whatever you buy, make sure you get to at least handle it first. Let the fit make the decision. Poor fit leads to poor shooting. Find a gun that feels good to you. All the major brands make good guns.

This is good advice. to me most of the pistols I've picked up felt comfortable to me. Except the old style pistol grips on revolvers. Remember you are shooting it, not sitting on it. How "uncomfortable" can a pistol be? If your shooting it all day, I could see comfort being key, but if you are shooting once a month and just have it in case. I don't think you'll notice much "comfort" issues in a pistol.

I think the glocks are very comfortable. But that is me. Give a man a gun and let him shoot it, he will learn to shoot it. My glock was my first pistol I got when I was 18. I put a lot of rounds in it, and I could pick off a pretty small object.

I sold it, stopped shooting pistols, and now i cant hit the broad side of a barn with pistols lol
