Air circulation in wheel house

I have a wheel house that is 12'X6.5' and the ProCom heater in it doesn't have a fan to blow the air. Hence ceiling is always warmer than floor in the house. I saw a 12-volt computer fan on sale and now I'm wondering if anyone else has used them to circulate the air in a wheel house or if this fan is to small to do the job.

they work great if they move enough air. There are a lot of different sizes and speeds. Depending on how fast you need them, there are really cheap ones online. I bought 10 for $12 with free shipping. It was actually cheaper to get a dozen than the 4 I needed. Check computer parts places. If you were to put 1 in each corner pointing down a little and to one direction you should be fine.

I have extras if you want them, but it might just be cheaper to order online.

I saw a nice little 12v fan with cig. lighter end on it at o'reilly for $10. just hang from ceiling pointing down.

I have a 6.5' x 10' plus v house, with a 15k btu empire direct vent heater. It is mounted about in the middle of the house on one side. I have 3 cheap computer fans mounted near the ceiling on the opposite side of the heater. The fans make a BIG difference! I tried the heater without the fans on, and the difference in temp from floor to ceiling was nearly 20 degrees. When running the fans, 5 degrees or less. I put a simple toggle switch on each so I can turn them on, or off if I want. The fans are very quiet, and the ones I have use about .25 amps per hour each. So they will run literally for ever on the deep cycle battery I use for the lights. After drilling holes and dragging snow in my house, in an hour or so the carpet is dry and can walk around in my socks if I want. Best and cheapest addition I have made on my house!

Go to walmart or target, i use a fan called O2 cool. Its 10 inches and runs off d cell batteries or 110v. Works very nice. They also have clip on 12v fans too.

I use one like this. I just plop it down in from of my force air heater which is by the floor and it circulates air throughout. Suppose to run 30+ hours on the d-cell batteries. You probably could rig it to be on the ceiling also.

i have four in my house . Some computer fans on e b a y have led lights which help at night. they draw little power. Sure helps keep the floor dry as well. Well worth it

Crappie Kid, do you have them wired as separate units or all wired together?

seperate

some hard wired into the house 12 volt sytem and they are turned on and off with a toggle switch. I Also have one that i use a vex battery with, another with cig plug.
