SnowPlow Guys?

Recommended Posts

I assume your moldboard is metal. I've since switched to a poly Boss plow, but when I had a Meyers that was metal, the colder the blade was, the better. If I started to plow when the blade was still warm (from being inside) there would always be a bunch of snow stuck to it. Not so much if it was good and cold when I started.

The one thing you can't control however, is if you plow somewhere where there is plenty of car boogers (the chunks of salt, ice, snow that fall off of the mudflaps), or somewhere that has salt/sand spread over it. Seems like that stuff will stick to metal plows no matter what you do.

The one thing that seems to help is when you get about a foot or two back from the pile, bounce your blade off the ground once or twice. That gets rid of most of it.

Hope that helps you out.
