Question

Hello, new here and just bought a new Lowrance Endura Out&Back yesterday along with LakeMaster MN V.7. Everything works, just haven't taken it out yet, but was wondering... after reading Lowrance and Lakemaster sites... about saving/marking positions(fishing hotspots).. Lakemaster says to use a seperate Sd card... Lowrance isn't clear to me.. specs don't show built-in memory on the thing. I don't want to risk ruining my new LM chip if it accidentally saves on it. All Lowrance's specs say is can save so many thousand/hundred waypoints and trails.... I don't know what this means. So main question is, do I need to get another blank sd card to save my hotspots on, or does it have built-in memory that accomodates the supposed ability to save so many thousand points or whatever. If I need another card to save on, how do I do this? I don't think it's safe to swap between cards with the unit on... and I don't think it to be convenient to have to shut it down/swap/restart. It takes long to start up. Need help as going to Mille Lacs tomorrow. Thanks. Remember I am a newbie at handhled GPSs.

Also, I noticed there is a speaker on the back of the unit, what is it for? It doesn't even have the capability to play media???

You don't need a blank card unless you want to back up your data, which I highly suggest. If you don't get a card at least back it up by connecting it to a pc with a mini USB cable.

Otherwise, the unit stores the following.

Waypoint Storage 4000

Routes 500

Plot Trails 100

Graphic Marker Icons 194

A waypoint is a spot you have saved on your GPS. Go to waypoints and search either nearest or saved waypoints and you should find them there. Make sure you give them names that will help you remember what they are when you go in looking for them. The standard numbers wont help you at all.

Example would be. "Lake X Crappies 19'" or "Lake X West Side Humps"
