Clam puck style lights poor!

I got 2 of these for Christmas and after putting batteries in and turning on and off a few times both the onn/off buttons quit working.

I did like the brightness, magnet and hook but if it wont turn on and off dependably than they are worthless.

They are both going back on Monday.

Hi Steve,

I've had mine on the ice 2x and so far so good (knocking on wood). Alot more handy than carrying a lantern around.

Hopefully it's just a bad batch of them.

I got one this year too. No problems so far, but I wish the hook would allow the light to shine straight down instead of at an angle.

Brian Im going to get them replaced with 2 more but Im trying them at the shop and if they are bad there Im done with Clam lights.

Well I got the 2 bad ones replaced with 2 new ones. They are working great. Only thing I dont like is that the magnet is no good on the alum poles that most houses have. Im going to tape a few small steel strips onto my alum poles and then stick the light on them. Ya I to wish that hook was tighter to allow for more adjusting. I suppose for $6 what should a guy expect.

I know these things flew off the shelves come X-mas. I got the last one at Marine General a few days ago.

Well after my last post I have been running these puck lights hard. Im impressed that for as long as I have used them on the ice at night that they are still as bright as day 1.

No issues with the buttons on these ones. Hopefully they stand the test of time. So far Im thinking they were a good buy at about $6.

I simply run the Outdoor Pro Store FireBrite LED lights as I have found nothing better.
