jasonpower
Just wondering what the ice and snow was like in the Grenville Area. Heading that way over cristmas. Play in alot of snow last year, every trip we made. Just wondering what to look forward too.
Jarrod32
I think we'll be heading out that way tomorrow for some fishing...I'll post a report when I get back. But from what I hear so far is that the ice is walkable, but not yet driveable.
Jarrod32
Hit one of the many sloughs in the Day/Marshall County area today. Most people were driving; just barely enough ice for driving. This was on a small slough; the larger lakes probably don't have quite as much ice. Not much snow cover; it was easy to drive anywhere we wanted on the slough. The perch action was steady, but far from fast and furious. Ended up with a nice bucket of keeper perch, but had to sort through a lot of little ones. Kept about one of every three or four fish caught. Jarrod32
Anyone been out lately? I've heard a few people that have been out and had pretty good fishing, but really tough getting around unless you have a snowmobile. Any other reports? Hit up a few lakes around webster sunday through yesterday. If you don't have a snowmobile you are severely limited in mobility right now. Sportsmans Cove has a nice trail blown out on Antelope, but that's about it for truck travel that we saw. Reetz has serious slush west of the highway. even tracked rangers and wheelers were having issues. Fishing was great once we found the fish.
