homemade sled

Just wondering if anyone could post some pics.of their homemade pull behind sled. I was thinking of making one that I can customize rather than spend $100 on a sled that will work but is very spendy. Plus I like to make stuff. Any light weight options?

I did the same thing (re FF sled). Except I found mine at Gander, it was a deep well, heavy duty plastic/poly molded sled. Picked it up for around $30. It worked great last year, and is all primed and ready to go this year.

made mine a couple years ago, works great. Made a box out of pegboard--bottom and four sides. Used 2 x 2 for framing. Attached 2 skiis that I bought for 1.49 at goodwill. Glides over the snow wonderfully and any snow/ice that gets into the "sled" melts through the pegboard holes. Looks bush league, but works awesome.

I have the FF sled also, believe it's a Team Wild medium sled which is made by Otter Outfoors, it's just their "cheap" line. It works well for early ice and anytime I don't use the flip over for whatever reason. Also use it up north to get gear around the lake each day.
