I don't think it matters they will wear down faster to match the older tires depending on how much you use it. For me in a snowplowing buisness I threw on the spare tire that was brand new and the three other tires where bald about 1.25" diffrence. After 12 hours of plowing the new tire was allmost bald. Caterpiller tires.Cat 252B If you don't use it much I think I woult put them on the front for better grab. Good luck, Happy plowing snow smile

You need to keep them on the same side, remember almost all skid loaders operate using a chain drive. Meaning the the chains turn both axles on the same side at the same speed. If you have one new/larger diameter tire on a side, it will send pressure back through the drive system. That would also explain the previous post as to the fast wear of the newer tire he put on. The last thing you want to do is cause any needless wear to the drive system, things tend to start getting expensive once you wreck something in the chain box, or worse yet if you wreck a drive motor. If you put them on the same side the next issue you will see is that it's not going to drive in a straight line. To borrow from racing you now have put stager into the equation. It is important to try and keep all 4 tires as close to the same diameter as possible. I work for a manufacturer of skid loaders. you should find similar info in your operators manual.
