World Fishing Network (WFN) - call comcast!

World fishing network is a 24/7 fishing channel that is currently not in the comcast Minnesota channel lineup. This channel is offered by comcast in other parts of the country and all other providers are carrying it in Minnesota.

If possible call in and request this to be added to the channel lineup. Also, pass the word along to do the same. We need a fishing channel!

Channel 407!!! It has a lot of saltwater fishing but if you can fight through that [PoorWordUsage]-ah, there's enough to entertain for a while. WFN works great with DVR/Tivo, that way you're not fighting through "Fishing the Flats", "Fishing Western Australia", and "Fishing in Somebody's Saltwater Toilet" along with the rest of the junk. Lots of informercials on late night. Other than that, it's the first channel I turn to when the tube comes on.

lol.. little problem with the ocean, eh Raider?

I spend the darkest 4 months of the year dreaming about the beaches of Florida.

Literally. I'm not kidding, for the past week every night I've had dreams about fishing off the beach.

But yes, I wish I had more fishing TV. I make do with YOUre favorite video sharing site.

Not just the ocean MB. I, uh, pretty much avoid places where you can get killed and eaten. Oceans, Arctic, GB and ML areas (except more and more Mountain Lions are showing up in more and more places. Not good.). Yeah, I've done my share of stupid things but just something about me ending up something's lunch just does not float the old boat. If you love the ocean, rock on! The beach? Have you seen what techniques Killer Whales have now? They scoot right up onto the sand and snatch whatever. My name is not "Whatever". Just sayin'

Do you guys get a channel called CHXMN? It has a few shows that are filmed in MN/Midwest. I have mostly seen the one called Jig Heads. They do a lot of lake superior ice fishing for lakers. They also have Midwest Outdoors and the Joe Bucher show. It's on channel 87 in Duluth. Check it out if you guys get the channel.

Man that sucks! There are barely ever any good fishing shows on anymore! I use to look forward to waking up early on saturday mornings now there isnt much on.

"From the lakes of northern Canada, to the Gulf of Mexico. Wherever fish are bitin', that's where he's gonna go. There's a lot of excitin' country, just waitin' to be explored. Join us now in the great outdoors, the world of Virgil Ward"

Loved that show. Bonus Question: Name the dog food advertiser on Harold Ensley's show? No fair Googling.

Gotta disagree. Fishing shows are better than ever.... Reel in the outdoors, Ultimate Match Fishing, FLW Outdoors, Angling Edge, Classic Patterns, Bass Pros, BASS Elites, Zona's show, City Limits, PAA TV, Hank Parker...... I could go on. Its kind of the off-season for fishing shows. Alot of the new stuff comes out in Jan.

    • Yeah it was a beatdown
    • Your kid needs to stay with him!👍
    • My kid was eating in Beverly Hills and ran into this guy. Talked to him a bit and wished him luck in the game tonight.
    • 🤔as a recovering machinist!🤣🤣that must make me a recovering welder!
    • As a recovering machinist, I can appreciate that.  If the spec is 0.001 - 0.0015, then clearly the correct measurement is 0.00125, duh…
    • I just figured that it is easy enough to just get a 3 bank so when the boat is not in use I can keep all 3 batteries charged. I have not bough a charger yet, maybe I will give it some more thought. Edit: After thinking this over, with the size, weight, and heat output of the charger (as well as the cost) I think it makes sense to just buy a 2 bank charger, I have a smaller charger i can use on the starting battery when the boat is sitting at home. Forgive me, for i am a retired engineer and I have to obsess over everything...
    • Congrats on the motor!  I think you’ll like it.   I can’t say much on the charger location but I’ve seen them under the lid in back compartments and under center rod lockers.  160 degrees is more than I expected to hear.   Curious why you’re opting for a 3 bank charger with a 24V trolling motor.  Unless you don’t feel you be running you big motor enough to keep that battery up as well?
    • I did buy an Minnkota Ulterra, thanks for the recommendations. I had a bunch of Cabela"s bucks saved up, which helped. Now i need to get an onboard battery charger. Where do you guys mount these things in your boat? The manufacturer I am looking at {Noco genius) says tht their 3-bank charger will run at 160 degrees, seems like a lot of heat in an enclosed compartment? Thanks for any input on this.
    • You're very lucky a troop of Sea Monkey's didn't carry you away.
    • Wasn't terrible at a state park beach. Antelope island maybe.  I wouldn't recommend it as a beach destination tho.  Figured I was there, I'm getting in it.
