I'm glad my area isn't anywhere close to shedding, dragged out my buck Sunday morning by his antlers, 1.5 miles, dressed 182 his rack was super solid on his coconut, areas vary and thankfully I can muzzleload for life and not have to worry about bucks shedding.

Will post when I can, went through 17 straight sits without seeing a single deer. The morale was a bit low, had conceded the season and was just thankful for years past etc., thinking how long it seems to take for the next year to arrive etc., was plenty cold, my senses weren't sharp, but for some reason that buck found me, got to the stand at exactly shooting light, think 7:20 it was sunday, 8 bells and it was game time, bout as nervous as I've been since my first buck in 1984 or was it the -25 wind chill plus nerves, craziest part, I look at my boots, they were my uncles who died of colon cancer a few years back, his wife wanted me to have them and to please use them, I rarely wear them but others were wet from shoveling etc. from the day before thought about him a bit after the shot, got my license out, selected the month,date,etc. December 12th was my uncles birthday, extremely ironic and added to the whole event.
