Fluorocarbon for Worm Harness??

I wouldnt waist $ on that expensive of a line for spinners. I use Trilene XT and it works fine. The fish arent worried about the line just the spinner and bait. I doubt too much line makes a difference unless you are real shallow or super clear water. I do use Vanish for leaders when live bait rigging though.

Yes, use it for rigging, but no need for spinners.

As for what type?
I would go Seager all the way.
Berkly Vanish is absolutely junk. You couldn't give it to me, let alone give me money to use it. It is very brittal and doesn't hold up well at all.

Northlander,
maybe I got a bad spool, but I had 8lb Vanish and it would break by just looking at it. No knot strength and if there was the slightest, smallest nick, it would almost fall apart.

Terrible expirence, that has kept me to the Seagar.

Depends on where you fish. If you fish the river, XT or XL will work well. But if you fish pressured waters such as Mille Lacs, it might just be worth the difference, especially if they are real finicky and you are really drifting or trolling very slow.

I have never had problems with Vanish breaking but guys have a love it or leave it feeling toward it. I plan to spool one rod with Seaguar #8 this year and give it a try.

I understand fluorocarbon is a little more abrasion resistant. I read this week some guys use #80 as leader material for pike and muskys instead of expensive steel or titanium leaders.

Funny, I and several friends use Vanish and never have a problem with it when used as leader material. I would never spool a whole spool with it because it has way to much memory. I do agree that P-Line and Seagur are good. Just big $.
