Walley Opener Advice...?

I just wanted to put together a section where i can read up about tricks or tips you may have on river fishing? What do you look for? What depth? What bait? How Fast? Presentations? Or any advice you may have on general river fishing. This needed to be started sooner or later so ill give it a push. Also anybody fishing the St. Louis? Just wondering... Thanks!

This issue of Field and Stream has a lot of info on fishing pre-spawn, post-spawn walleyes on rivers, very informative, allows talk about fishing high water and low level waters, vertical jigging, and plastics. Check out the HSOforum, I dont know if I can post the link. If anyone knows if i can let me know.
