Mitch is on the board!

Recommended Posts

Mitch and I headed out last night and tried a few spots around 1 A.M. The first set was a property we picked up yesterday afternoon. The field was full of round bails and I put Mitch at a bail that was a little NE of me with woods/swamp to the East and cornfield to the South. I was into the second set of the bunny blues when I heard claws scraping the crusty snow. I looked through the binoculars to the East but didn't see anything. That's when his X Bolt barked and I heard the female yip and off she went on a short run.

Nice lookin dog. We hit 3 more spots before we had to get home to deer hunt but saw nothing at any of them. It got pretty cold and the wind picked up maybe that's why nothing else showed. Hopefully we can get back after them tonight.

Man, you two should start making your own predator videos. Great job, the season is just starting and a few fox and a yote down already. Do you normally go out this time of year or just because of the snow and moon phase?

HooknHorns,

We usually wait until December but to be honest we're both getting a little tired of deer hunting and the itch to get out after some fur was really pulling at us. The predators get our blood pumping a whole lot more these days.
