This is worth a watch. We have twice as much natural gas in America than Saudi America has oil. Yet at a big price to the environment.

The industry doesn't have to disclose what's in the tens of thousands of gallons of chemicals they use when they fracture the shale, because of the so-called "Halliburton loophole."

Halliburton is a leading fracking company and the loophole was created in 2005 under Vice President Richard Cheney, who used to be Halliburton's CEO.

"The 2005 energy bill completely exempted the natural gas industry and fracking technology from any regulation under the Safe Drinking Water Act. It's an outrage," Brune said.

Maybe people need to write their congressmen on regulation of this neccesary evil. Not only a threat to trout streams but prolly many streams we get bait out of and trap and everything.
