Yep. you can cut it off with a sawzall. They make abrasive blades for this that run about $10 a piece. Should get one or 2 cut per blade. You can also try using a 10 or 12 tooth blade. Maybe one of the other old plumbers on here remembers what tooth it is that works well for this.

You can melt the lead out but this will smell and works best on a horizontal run. You can use drill bits, screw drives and chisels to try to get it out to. This will take a little time but will come. Do not use your best drill bits for drilling out the lead. Breaking a few off is very common. I used to stock my truck with ones I had found at garage sales.

Simplest way is going to be saw if off or snap it.
