Getting voice recordings off an android phone?

Was wondering if anyone can help me get voice recordings off of my andoid phone and convert it into a .wav or some other sound format to forward.

I imagine I can plug my phone into the computer and search the directory to find the voice recording file, but what software do you use to convert it?

I have downloaded free software to convert cell phone video clips into a regular (usable) video file...same principle here?

Btw, it is not the voicemail, it is the voice recording option.

Not sure, but I would start by finding the file and finding out what kind of file it is. Could be the android records in an already usable format. If not a web search should turn up an app to convert it.

are you sure the voice recordings don't save as a wav?

I would go to your apps, find files, locate where the file is. Plug your usb cable to the computer.

open my computer > removable disk > where the file is located on your phone

than copy it to the computer.

They are in an .AMR format.

I found a free app to convert to .wav via google.
