Question

getting my 8 - 14000 cooker/heater out and I am not getting full flow when button released (stays lit only on high here with about 1/4 the flow). tried new thermocouple with same result. does it sound like a safety shutoff button issue?

See if the thermocouple can be adjusted closer to the burner face...lengthen it.

Also take a wire brush and clean the face of the burner, this will allow it to burn more efficiently. Blow it out well with an air hose, and blow out the mix tube below the burner.

Still not cooperating....replace the thermocouple, and set the new one as far in to the burner chamber as you can, it should do well then.

I had tipped the couple but not lengthened it (I'll try that). The part that got me was that the new thermo did the exact same thing on the shutoff switch. Burner, orfice, gas throat has all been cleaned. Can the safety buttons go bad the way I have described?
