what kind of fliud for lower unit?

hi i have a 9.9 johnson 1975, and a 6 evinrude 1989 moters, what type and brand do i need for the lower gear unit thank you is synthetic better or doesnt matter.

For your engine you can use any marine lower unit lube such as:

OMC (BRP) Hi-Vis

Yamalube

Quicksilver Premium Blend

Lubrimatic Hi-Vis Marine lower unit lube

Or any of the synthetic marine lubes.

Synthetic vs Conventional??? on smaller engines such as yours, I'd go with conventional but its a personal preference.
