i am going out for goose next weekend and was wondering if any of you used the new shot this weekend. if you did, was there a big enough difference where i should go buy a box to try out myself?

you would probably want to pattern it first before slinging it at honkers. every gun is different. i could tell you that 3" federal 2's rocked the 3 birds i shot this morning, but if you shot em through your gun, they may pattern horribly.
