macminn
Where can I get a chart to keep in my tackle box that tells me approximately what the weight is of a certain length fish? I know I've seen them around, especially on tape measures, but I'm looking for one to keep in my tackle box. Anyplace on the web that anyone knows about? Thanks,Mac

Guest
Northland Tackle has a card that tells the estimated weight of walleye, northeran, crappie, and largemouth bass. I keep it in my wallet so its with me all the time.------------------Fish ON!

TRZ
The DNR sells them at the state fair for 50 cents, they are very nice and accurate. only the crappie weights are way off, but most of these types of charts are way off on crappie. does any one know why- mine form the DNR says a 14 inch crappie is 2.2 pounds, i have caught many 14 inch crappies and none were over 1.5 pounds. can it be luck?
TRZ, maybe they meant a 14" crappy Just kidding, your right the weight to length is way off.
Lunker
My weight to length chart is on one of those ruler stickers that goes on the side of my boat. Can by it at any sporting goods store.I agree that the crappie charts are way off, my theory is that I've caught some scrawny and some chubby crapps, depending on the lake and time of year and availability of forage, all of which can affect any species weights, but maybe more for crappies?
