big rock resort leech lake

Heading up to leech and staying @ big rock resort on S.W. side in 9 days. Have only been to leech once and stayed @ moonlight bay.Has anyone heard of any good general areas arond B.R. for nice perch or eyes? Can't wait to get back up there!

I stayed there for a week in early June and the area right in front was good, especially in the evening. There is also Big Rock reef a mile or so out that holds fish. Lots of structure in the area and a great place to stay. Enjoy yourself with the great hosts.

I used to fish that area alot. I did well at times right infront of Horshoe Bay Resort in the evenings.

Thanks alot for the info! We (my wife & I) had good fishing at sand point our first trip, but would like to find fish closer to "home".Only up there 3 days.Right now I'm thinking my main arsenal will consist of spinners,salmos,shad raps (jointed also) and jigs. I'm thinking reefs and humps and shallow rock shorelines.Can't wait!! Thanks again.
