04Town & Country ac

Recommended Posts

My wife just called and said the ac quit in the front of her van, fan still blows but air coming out isn't cold, says it still works good in the back though. I haven't looked at it at all yet but does this have two seperate systems? Are there any common problems with these that I should check first?

There are two evap cores that run off the same system. If the rear core is blowing cold that the system is still working. You may have an issue with blend doors. Check to see if the temp is the same out of all the front vents. It may be possible that the passenger side is still blowing cold which would indicate a problem with the blend doors as well.

I would say low on freon, front evap, condensor, compressor issue or rear evep lines leaking. All very common problems with the T&C. I would probably bet its not a blend door problem never saw any of those problems on T&C.

Why would the rear still blow cold?
