Crescent Lake Advice

Thinking about going for a little labor day R&R up to crescent lake. Was wondering if anyone has been up there and what the lake is like? I've gotta a 19ft lund, is it too big for the lake, and how has the fishing been? Any advice would be helpful.......Thanks in advance

Yep, that lake will wreck your lower unit if your not careful. I know the lake very well, but still get surprised by a "new" rock pile every time out. On that note, lake is full of 'eyes, little muskies, and even though I think the bass fishing is slowly going down hill, high numbers can still be caught. I prefer firetiger and/or chartreuse colors. Surface baits are very good for bass, and it's fun to get a surprise muskie that way as well. If your camping there, better get there very early, as that's quick to fill up on weekends (especially labor day).
