98 honda 90 horse

Does anyone know what a BF90 should put out for volts and amps. Mine does 13.5 and up to 12 amps. I think that is normal, but I got a group 27 agm starter battery that it really seems to struggle with keeping charged. I have heard agms like to be charged at higher volts 14.2+ and lower rates degrade the battery. Just curious if anyone else has any input, thanks

I don't have the specs, but what you're seeing for output it doesn't sound too far off from what I'd expect.

Are you sure you don't have a heavy draw somewhere else that's pulling it down?
