SONY DSC-S85 adapter for chip

Recommended Posts

Okay folks, I'm gonna take a flyer on this. Have a wonderful SONY DSC-S85 I have owned since they came out. Yes.....yes, I know its onl"only 4.1 megapixels and slow and heavy and....and .....and.

I only have the original memory stick. Bought an adapter called CoreDu and another 8 gb chip. New chip is smaller than originals and the adapter, a little piece of metal, is supposed to let you load the newer generation chip into the older (S-85) cameras. I CANNOT get it to work. When I DO get it into camera all I get is "memory stick error". By any chance any of you folks know of this quaint old antique camera and how these chips/adapters work??

Oh. Yes, I have other cameras too. Ha!

Yeah......it's a thought. But if they don't work WHY would they commonly be used and sold in various venues?

I'm going to contact SONY. This particular camera is a real dandy, even though I have many bigger, faster, prettier, sexier, nicer camera's.
