Plugs Changed on a 2003 Odyssey

Recommended Posts

Yesterday I changed the plugs on a 2003 Odyssey with 106,000 miles. It went very well. It's slick with a separate coil for each cylinder. I was suprised how good those platinum tipped plugs looked after that long. Now on to the the 2004 Silverado.

The Silverado will have a coil for each cylinder, but still uses a short plug wire. I dont think thats so much a bad thing though, I've yet to replace a coil pack on a GM 5.3 0r a 6.0. whereas I've done many of the directly mounted coils on other brands. Don't know if the other guys have the same experience or not, maybe its just me.

I'd replace them. First, they are 6 to 7 years old with around 100,000 or so miles I'd assume. Secondly, they can be tricky to get off the plugs if you are not careful. Even after doing hundreds and hundreds of them, I still run into one here and there that get damaged taking it off.

I always use the AC/Delco origininal equipment, the fit and they last like the new ones did, never disappointed!
