Shack
Missed this post. The reviews are very good with the Pro HD version. I know one person who has it and the Sling Catcher and has no problems at all. Very cool option. Cool thing also is you can watch any channel your cable or sat. feed let's you view at home, even over 3G while in HD. Downside is the app is about $40-$50. I assume this is to detour people from sharing cable or sat. feeds. A little I would say. I do not think it illegal yet, but if you some willing to split cable bill and has a Slingbox, you could buy the app and view their feed via your phone or PC. pureinsanity
I dont think you can change the channel remotely. whatever your cable box is set to is the channel you get to watch...
LMITOUT
You can control your cable/dish box just as if you were sitting on the couch with a remote in your hand. View the program guide, browse the shows you've captured with the DVR, etc. You could be on the other side of the world in a hotel room and still watch the local news or whatever you want to watch off of your cable/dish/DVR box as long as you have a connection to the internet. That's correct, its exactly what I found out as well. The downside is that you are "controlling" that box, so if someone is home you have control of it not them. That sounds like a benefit to me Specially if the woman is watching that CSI [PoorWordUsage]. I can go on the computer and change it on her. Could be fun! SkunkedAgain
A friend just had his father in Wisconsin buy it. Now he can watch all of the Packer games off of his dad's broadcast. Sounds cool.

Sounds cool. That's why I was looking into it. Still might. I could watch them pretty much anywhere I am then.
