This is just a fun event that evens the playing field between tin boats, glitter rockets, canoes, and Huck Finn’s

Rules:

1. 2 live fish over 12” – no dead fish will be weighed

2. Must be insight of the launch dock and rods down by ending time.

3. Artificials only – no live bait.

Hey Ike,

Long time since I last talked with you, probably since we worked together for the City of Z. I was thinking of doing something like this later this fall on the Zumbro... Setting up the tourney in a different way. Three man teams. Two team members on one boat and the third on an opponents boat. High score wins. Weight is determinate factor but since there is pretty broad range of species in that lake here is the kicker. Small Game fish have a 1x weight score. Large Game Fish have a 2x weight score, and rough fish have a -2x weight score. The third non team member is the qualifier for the fish to discourage any "foul play" Digital camera pictures of the Weight measurements would be encouraged so that we can CPR everything caught. Think it is workable?

sorry for the slow response - but there are tuesday night bass tourneys all summer long on the zum - i have tried to do little tourneys in a similiar fasion as what you are talking about and basically just a digital camera of weight/length is good enough - otherwise it becomes a hassel of fishing against the guy in the back of your boat for money especially. it also would raise questions of whose boat whose spots etc, i have found the simple is best because many people don't like to read rules and even less understand them so it might be quite a headache and if there is alcohol involved now its even crazier.
