Bowfin
I'm trying to start some Americam plum thickets and crab apple orchards in some wooded areas in NE Wisconsin. I have caged all the trees/shrubs to limit deer browse but last winter the rabbits and mice chewed up several of the planted stock. This year I am thinking of putting some corregated plastic tubing up each stem. Anyone know where this is sold? I am thinking the 2" white tubing would be good. Also, anyone have any experience with the "Liquid Fence" spray for rodent control? Any other tips? LwnmwnMan2
The tubing can be bought at any large hardware store. You might have to make your own slit down one side, cut the length to fit.I don't have any expereince with the liquid fence. Powerstroke
I LOVE LIQUID FENCE!!That being said you need to spray often, but it does work. I'm not convinced it helps with the rodents, but it keeps the deer away. Its hard to do if you have to travel to spray. It needs it every two weeks in the beginning.
