Help!!! Fishing pics needed!!!

Hi everyone,

I am unaware of the rules on this forum so let me know if I need to post a first story before I can have my questions answered. That is the way it is on another forum I am a member to.

I need some pictures of walleye, sauger and especially saugeye (walleye x sauger cross). Preferabley pictures of just the fish without anyone holding it. Also if anyone has a picture of all three fish laying next to each other that would be great.

The reason I need these pictures is for a school project I am working on. Being from Oregon it is impossible for me to go out and get these pictures. We only have Walleye in the state. My group and I are working on a project on Saugeye and want some really good pictures of them and the distinguishing color characteristics between them and walleye and sauger.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You
Jim

Aquaman, I went to the link you put up and looked at that walleye, whew, that is one ugly eye.... Reminds me of the 10 pounder my uncle caught in canada a few years back. Even though it was big it was still the ugliest eye I had ever saw. But then again, is there such thing as an ugly 10 pounder....

Thanks everyone,

Pictures work well but I would really like some clear photos of all three.

Thanks again you guys have been very helpful. On a side note, it has been interesting reading some of the posts on this site. It is definatley a different kind of fishing.

Thanks
Jim

Hey Man,
when you clicked the Register link to register the rules were right there and you had to agree to them before registering.

Click the Register link (above) again and you can get familiar with the Forum rules easily.

You do not need to post a story before you can ask a question, as you can see smile.gif

So just out of curiosity, why is a person in Oregon doing a story on a fish that's not native to there?

I'm not criticizing - in fact, learning is always a good thing. But I'm just curious? grin.gif

Rick - Thanks for the heads up.

Consultant - I am in the Fisheries and Wildlife program at Oregon State University and a requirement for graduating from this program is to complete a sequence of "Group Problem Solving." Our group chose to research viable aquaculture ventures and saugeye is one of the selected.

Thanks for the interest,
Jim

"Group Problem Solving" - wow...nothing like trying to solve a problem by committee smile.gif

Ever watch the results from Congress? "You're better off not knowing how laws and sausages are made" is the quote, I believe!

Well, best of luck to ya!
