Right now I am using 80# Suffix braid and it seems to be better than the powerpro I used to use. I will never buy anything lighter than 80# if I plan on throwing bulldogs or any sizable lure. I do hear great things about Cortland Master Braid, but it is a bit harder to find.

I've heard a number of people say that about Cortland (holding a lot of water). But I honestly have never used a drier line than Cortland Masterbraid. Of course I used to use Tuff Line as a comparison which made it look like someone sprayed me with a water bottle after casting it for a few hours. I don't get wet in the least with Masterbraid. Just curious, smeese, are you referring to Masterbraid? My understanding is that their Masterbraid is designed in such a way that makes it drier than their Spectron. But I've never used Spectron. So maybe that's what you've found to hold a lot of water?
