solbes
1) I have an NMEA 2000 engine network setup on my HDS 7 / Yamaha F75. Anyone know what Boost Pressure in psi is referring to? I initially thought water pressure, but then also thought about fuel pressure or manifold pressure. Obviously there is no turbocharger on my Yammie. When the key is "on" but the engine has not been started it reads close to atmospheric pressure around 13.8 psi, which leads me to believe this is manifold pressure. If so I guess I have a poor mans fishing barometer onboard! Just curious.2) Also follow up question, maybe from PerchJerker. I am supposed to get oil pressure and water pressure from my outboard. I don't see these options on my HDS 7 when I edit the overlays or info screen. Anyway to find them manually?
PerchJerker
A couple ideas .......Do you have the engine running when you're trying to add the overlay data --- maybe oil pressure and water pressure info is only sent by the engine when the engine is running? If you still can't find it, you might want to try to configure the network devices. I'd do it when the engine is running. I haven't done it for the engine interface info, but there's been a few times I've had to do it (configure the network devices) to get other overlay info to show up.If those ideas don't help, then I think your next steps are to talk to Lowrance tech support and maybe Yamaha tech support. I'd start with Lowrance first.Good luck getting it working .....
solbes
Good idea on searching for them while it's running. I'm sure that it's always been off before when I've searched. I'll give her a try in 2 weeks when we head up north again. Thanks
