imo, no. With the right setup u can get any crank to any depth. So them claiming let out a 100 feet and it will 'troll to' that depth is pointless. I dont think there is anything unique with the action. Few buddies have them and we caught a few fish on them this year, but not nearly as many as we have caught on Salmo hornets or shad raps. ill stick with my hornets, shad raps, taildancers and husky jerk-baits. Im able to basically hit every speed action with those 4, from a slow wobble to a super fast shake.

Thanks Stifler ... was thinking the same way. I personally love my reef runners. Last think I need is more spendy lures collecting dust. Tackle box is already way too full.

i agree with stifler you can get just about any lure a guy has to run as a specified depth and a unique action, i think rapala just did it to simplify things for people alot of people like to pull it out of the box put it on and have it at the depth. I personally dont like the baits action compared to shads or husky jerk-baits are my personal shallow water trolling favorite.
