Goose Calling at Game Fair

Any of you forum watchers planning on participating in the goose or duck calling contest at the game fair this year? I want to make it down there to watch some of that but haven't decided what weekend/day will work for me.

I wish I'd be around but I will be in a different state that time of the month...but I would go watch the bigger comps (Open Goose, MN state goose, Open duck, MN state duck etc) over the kids comps, 2 man comps but they can be entertaining at times. Not sure which weekend they will be, last year they switched the open comps to the 2nd weekend due to conflicts of another competition.

The bigger contests are actually at the Mankato show this year.

Time: 10:00am - Scheels Novice Duck; 11:00am - Scheels Novice Goose; 1:00pm - North Star Regional Duck (Sanctioned); 3:00pm - North Star Regional Goose; Times may change due to scheduling and participation.

Location: Scheels, River Hills Mall 1850 Adams Street, Suite 6, Mankato MN 56001

Cost: Scheel’s Novice Duck $25 entry; Scheel’s Novice Goose $25 entry; North Star Regional Duck (Sanctioned) $50 entry; North Star Regional Goose $50 entry

Age Group: All Ages

Registration: Registration for contests will begin at 9:00 am.

Stop in and register to call or just take it all in and listen to some of the best callers in the industry or chat with four World Champion Callers.

I want to give the novice goose a shot but i just have to get the balls to do it. I keep telling myself every year im going to put a routen togather but never do
