Doing my home work!

I have a IfinderC and I am new to open water fishing from a boat. I am wondering what to look for a on the gps so I can make somewhat of a plan before I head out and get over whelmed with spots to fish. I know basic steep drops and weeds lines are typical so what are some other structures to look for and fish. I mostly fish pike and bass.

Chuck, look for points or bars that curve or angle and then fish on the inside of those spots. Also look for little underwater humps or reefs.
