Guest
Up in the rafters in the garage in a dark location, I just found my old 202 combo. I thought it was lost 20 years ago. Jeepers, am I lucky or what? Still has plenty of line on so I don't need to re-spool. Slap on a red n white Dare Devil or maybe a Strip On and I'm in business. I wonder what PETA would think about Strip On's? Got my old 12' Monkey Wards boat and my 2HP Eska outboard ready to go for the opener. ------------------Dan'ork
fiskyknut
I'm still using my trusty tru-temper 4.5 foot solid glass rod. This I have a sweeet model 1894 shakespeare levelwind spooled with black 30# dacron. I clip on a red and white Prescott spinner, bait up with a minnow and ALWAYS get the first, most, and BIGGEST!!! Still can't figure why theres such a fuss about all that graphite stuff.
bturck
Fisky: Are you still using the drop line with the knot tied every 12" to check the depth too. Just givin' ya some raspberries here. Hope you have a good opener. I'll be watching for the reports down here. Only 7-8 more months till hard water.LOL Bill
Guest
Wow, a knot every 12", great idea now I can fish and know the depth at the same time. all these years I've been using my cane pole with friction tape every foot. Thanks!------------------Dan'ork

bturck
Fisky: Sure hoping to get up this summer. My son is a contractor and at this point things are looking pretty busy. I don't know if I want to make the trip alone, we'll have to see. Bill

Guest
To Aquaman01,Nope, that was my precious Snoppy combo. The 202 is completly different in that it's black and about a foot longer. Bought it in 1972 at Shoppers City for $2.99. Now I have 4 very good rods, my Pocket Fisherman, Snoppy combo, 202 combo and of course the old trusty cane pole.Doesn't get better than that.
