BorderView
It seems my sons 1987 Yamaha Warrior needs a new CDI box. Found a great deal on a CDI box off a 1989. Can't seem to confirm or deny that there is a difference between the years. We have, however, seen many examples where the 1987 has unique parts. It was the first year of the Warrior. I don't mind buying the part, and if it does not work, selling it. It's that good of a deal.My Question:Can I wreck other stuff by installing and attempting to fire with an incompatible CDI box?Any educated thoughts sooner rather than later would be appreciated. mudweiser
The CDI from a 1987 fits only a 1987. They updated them many times after the 1987. There's one here; check out [You Need Authorization] then search warrior CDI
