Women Anglers of Minnesota Fishing Club

I am thrilled to find this forum! It is exciting to see how many fellow women anglers there are!

I thought I would post the club that I belong to. Women Anglers of Minnesota is a club for women who love fishing. Our focus is to teach women and children the sport of angling. We are a non-profit club that donates rods and reels to any program that teaches children how to fish. Our members also put on seminars for children in their local community. The highlight of the year is our annual fishing tournament. It just occured on Fish Hook Lake in Park Rapids and we had a blast. The prize money ranges from $2,000 down to $200.

This is such a great club for women who are competitive anglers. I think you gals were on Winnie one year too (which is one of my favorite lakes to fish).

That's awesome, I had no idea a club like that was around! I think that's wonderful you get kids and other women to get into fishing, it's a shame not more of us are!
