TRANS OPTIC MONO

Has anyone tried this line??? I prefer mono over flouro and was wondering if this line was worth trying...thanks

I tried some this year, I'd say it's average at best --- I don't like the line stretchiness and strength, and I don't think the trans-optic feature works as well as advertised. I won't be buying any more. I like copolymer lines better.

I haven't tried it myself but I have heard good things about it from a couple buddies. On the packaging it does say co-polymer.

Wow --- you're right, I looked at the box and it says "Nylon Co-Polymer Monofilament". After using it this spring I would have sworn it was straight mono. It has all the stretchiness and poor knot strength of mono, which you typically don't get with a good copolymer line. It does handle well on the reel and cast well though, which is more typical of copolymer lines.
