pop-up pickup

My wife wants to get a pop up for our pick up. I know they make them for 1/2 tons but I'm kind of leary. I've got a 1/2 crew cab, how does it affect my towing capacity? Any advice would be appreciated...Thanks!

any weight added to the bed has to be subtracted from how much trailer you can pull. this includes camper AND gear.

also keep in mind you are adding weight up high on the truck.

I have one on a 1/2 ton Silverado extended cab & I pull a 1850 Tyee. When I first got the camper I put some overload springs on the back. It doesnt do to bad of a job. Before the overload springs it was interesting, I would say you will definitely need to do something there. There are many options out there.
