Belle Taine Lake

Anyone Ever fished this lake before. Headed up there this weekend never fished it. Not looking for hot spots just looking for rig use, is it more of a Rap or Lindy lake? Is there nice fish in it?

It is a clear lake. I have only fished it a couple of times. Caught a couple of Walleyes at night. It is a good bass lake, supposed to be good smallies too.

Thanks jerbait! yeah I have read up on it a little bit sounds like a lot of little bays. lots of sand. It sounds like a shad lake to cover some ground.

grew up on it, lots of eyes, find cabbage you will be rewarded. lots of day time biters out there so you dont have to worry about being up all night, that being said there are some good schools of fish that will transition to sand at dusk if you dont want to deal with water sport enthuseist. some ok bass but alot in that 12 to 14 inch range that by the end of the weekend will drive you nuts. let us know how it goes.

Thanks MuskyBug85 Appreciate the info. Looks like it might be a little Rainy this weekend but that just means the girls will stay in more room in the boat! I'm pumped i love trying to figure out a new lake. Thanks!

My grandparents own a cabin on Belle Taine and my family also used to own a steakhouse in Nevis. I haven't fished it in quite a few years, but remember catching lots of northerns off the dock, some bass and a few walleyes. If I remember correctly it runs into or out of Shallow Lake which has lots of northerns and bass in it as well. My grandparents cabin is on the small side of the lake, but I remember going through the channel to the big side to fish for walleye.

Thanks for the info!! It was kind of a junk weekend to be on the water but we sat in the rain for a few hours Sat and Sun. No luck with eyes and we tried lindy's, Rapala's, bobber no luck. But i think the weather had a little to do with that also. But we did get into a couple of good bass and Blue gill holes so it was a decent weekend.
